Program recommendations for the weekend, without claiming to be exhaustive.
If anyone knows of a relevant concert that was left out, let us know!

REMINDER:

Only those programs make it into the recommendations for which a Facebook event is created, and which is visible on the band's page (with few exceptions)!
In addition, I would like to draw every band's attention to the fact that they should create events for their concerts, which can be found on their pages. Just sharing is not enough.

This weekend there are fewer and fewer festivals, village days and similar countryside events; the place of the big summer events is slowly being taken over by smaller club concerts and community programs.
Perhaps the most special will be the performance of the Millió Dolláros Quartet at the New Orleans Music Club. This is nothing less than the impersonation of Carl Perkins, Elvis, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis by Wild Cow Sonny, Andorai Péter, John Laslo Farkas and Wittman Balázs. Alongside them, Frech Zoli will portray Sam Phillips. Behind the double bass we'll find the well-known Singer, and the drummer will be Borka Zsombor. The evening promises to be a real special treat.
One of Hungary's most popular rockabilly bands, the Mystery Gang, visits the cult Amigo. This is a big encounter; I've never seen them perform at the Amigo before.
Jumping Matt hosts Huba & The Hozentrogers at his harmonica workshop at the Virág Benedek House.
This time the ever-neglected Borsod county is visited by the CandyMen Duo, who perform in Kazincbarcika on Friday. They are not frequent guests in the county, so it may be worth it for the locals to take the opportunity. We less frequently encounter the name of the Vadkelet zenekar in the recommendations, who this time perform in their hometown, Miskolc.
It's an interesting fact that the dance party organized by Pepita will this time be held not at the Muzikum, but at the KAZI.
The most-booked band of the weekend will be the CandyMen Duo, who have taken on five performances, and also have one cancelled concert.
This time no one travels abroad.

Public Service Moments #563

Rock and Roll is a popular music genre that emerged in the United States during the 1950s. It combines elements of rhythm and blues, country, gospel, and jazz into an energetic and danceable style. The music is characterized by strong rhythms, electric guitars, and catchy melodies. Early pioneers such as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley helped bring Rock and Roll to a worldwide audience. Its influence shaped many modern music genres and continues to inspire musicians today.

"Before Elvis there was nothing.” - John Lennon (Beatles)

Rockabilly is one of the earliest forms of Rock and Roll, developing in the United States in the early 1950s. It blends country music, particularly hillbilly music, with rhythm and blues influences. The style is known for its upbeat tempo, twangy guitars, and distinctive slap-back echo on vocals. Artists like Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis were major figures in the Rockabilly movement. Today, Rockabilly remains popular among fans who appreciate its vintage sound and unique fashion culture.

Blues is a music genre that originated within African American communities in the southern United States during the late 19th century. It is known for its emotional expression, often reflecting themes of hardship, love, and resilience. Blues music typically follows a twelve-bar chord progression and features expressive vocals and instrumental solos. Influential musicians such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, and Robert Johnson helped define the genre. The Blues became the foundation for many later music styles, including Rock and Roll, jazz, and soul.

Country is a genre of music that originated in the rural regions of the southern United States during the early 20th century. It combines folk traditions, storytelling lyrics, and simple yet memorable melodies. Common instruments include acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, and steel guitar. Country songs often focus on everyday life, family, love, and personal experiences. Artists such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson helped make Country music one of the most popular genres in the world.

Beat music is a genre that developed in the United Kingdom during the late 1950s and early 1960s. It combines elements of Rock and Roll, rhythm and blues, and skiffle music. The style is characterized by strong backbeat rhythms, vocal harmonies, and guitar-driven arrangements. Bands such as The Beatles, The Searchers, and Gerry and the Pacemakers became leading representatives of the Beat movement. Beat music played a major role in the British Invasion and significantly influenced the development of modern pop and rock music.
