Another change at the top of the standings took place this week. Pedrofon reclaimed first place with 246 points, while Los Black Ones slipped back to second with 245.5 points. The gap is once again minimal, just half a point. The third spot on the podium remains occupied by Naked Truckers with 148 points.

Only one advancement occurred within the Top 16. Ed Philips and the Memphis Patrol, now in 8th place, climbed three positions, returning to the upper half of the leading group. The band has just crossed the 100-point mark.

Two interesting clusters can also be observed in the upper section of the standings. The battle remains extremely close between 5th and 7th place, while the differences between the bands in 13th to 15th place are equally small.

The Mexican Border, separating the Top 16 from the rest of the field, once again lies between Nemcsak Berry and Mr Firehand. However, positions 16 to 18 are currently tied, meaning that if any of these bands score points, the border will immediately shift.

“In Mexico”, in the second half of the standings, Top Guyz, now in 19th place, moved ahead of one other band. Dynamite Dudes, in 20th place, also advanced by one position. Deaf Kats, now 22nd, overtook six other bands, producing one of the week's most notable advances. Budapest Rock and Roll Band, in 26th place, improved by one position. The Polish Psycho Beets, now 29th, climbed two places. Ati Edge and the Shadowbirds, in 36th place, were still 41st last week. Meanwhile, The Booze Bombs currently occupy 41st place, having also moved up by one position.

On the other side of the border, competition remains extremely tight between 16th and 21st place, as well as between 22nd and 27th place, where only a few points separate several bands. With the end of the year approaching, seeing this many close battles is rather unusual.

One new entrant appeared in the championship this week. Group'n'Swing, in 55th place, entered the rankings for the first time in 2026.

At the bottom of the standings, Madarak Házibulizenekar remain in 71st place.

Rock and Roll is a popular music genre that emerged in the United States during the 1950s. It combines elements of rhythm and blues, country, gospel, and jazz into an energetic and danceable style. The music is characterized by strong rhythms, electric guitars, and catchy melodies. Early pioneers such as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley helped bring Rock and Roll to a worldwide audience. Its influence shaped many modern music genres and continues to inspire musicians today.

"Before Elvis there was nothing.” - John Lennon (Beatles)

Rockabilly is one of the earliest forms of Rock and Roll, developing in the United States in the early 1950s. It blends country music, particularly hillbilly music, with rhythm and blues influences. The style is known for its upbeat tempo, twangy guitars, and distinctive slap-back echo on vocals. Artists like Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis were major figures in the Rockabilly movement. Today, Rockabilly remains popular among fans who appreciate its vintage sound and unique fashion culture.

Blues is a music genre that originated within African American communities in the southern United States during the late 19th century. It is known for its emotional expression, often reflecting themes of hardship, love, and resilience. Blues music typically follows a twelve-bar chord progression and features expressive vocals and instrumental solos. Influential musicians such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, and Robert Johnson helped define the genre. The Blues became the foundation for many later music styles, including Rock and Roll, jazz, and soul.

Country is a genre of music that originated in the rural regions of the southern United States during the early 20th century. It combines folk traditions, storytelling lyrics, and simple yet memorable melodies. Common instruments include acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, and steel guitar. Country songs often focus on everyday life, family, love, and personal experiences. Artists such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson helped make Country music one of the most popular genres in the world.

Beat music is a genre that developed in the United Kingdom during the late 1950s and early 1960s. It combines elements of Rock and Roll, rhythm and blues, and skiffle music. The style is characterized by strong backbeat rhythms, vocal harmonies, and guitar-driven arrangements. Bands such as The Beatles, The Searchers, and Gerry and the Pacemakers became leading representatives of the Beat movement. Beat music played a major role in the British Invasion and significantly influenced the development of modern pop and rock music.
