Event recommendations for the weekend, not intended to be a complete list.
If anyone knows of a relevant concert that was missed, let us know!

REMINDER:

Only events that have a Facebook event created and are visible on the band's page are included in the event recommendations (with a few exceptions)!
Furthermore, I would like to draw every band's attention to the importance of creating events for their concerts that can be found on their pages. Simply sharing a post is not enough.

The weekend starts with bad news, as the Red Roosters concert at Renegade Tattoo & Blues Bar has been cancelled. This is not the first such case at this venue, and hopefully there is no serious issue in the background.

The perpetually neglected Borsod region is doing quite well this time. Both B'15 Truckabilly Trio and Pedrofon will perform at the Újhelyi Borradalom event in Sátoraljaújhely, while Illés Emlékzenekar - MIEZ will take the stage in Miskolc at the Gárdonyi Géza Cultural Center. As a result, the county is hosting three rock-and-roll-related events this time.

The busiest band of the weekend will be Dynamite Dudes, who will perform five times during the week. CandyMen Duo follow with three concerts, placing them among the more active performers as well.

We see the name Matchboys less frequently in these event recommendations, but this time they will be performing in Hajdúszoboszló. On Sunday, Brillantin will move into the New Orleans Club. Over the past year, New Orleans has become quite active, regularly hosting concerts that suit our tastes on Sundays. The venue is rather exclusive, and the dance floor is large.

This time, CandyMen Duo will be the only act traveling abroad, taking the stage in Slovakia on Saturday.

There are no movies on television that would appeal to us this week.

Rock and Roll is a popular music genre that emerged in the United States during the 1950s. It combines elements of rhythm and blues, country, gospel, and jazz into an energetic and danceable style. The music is characterized by strong rhythms, electric guitars, and catchy melodies. Early pioneers such as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley helped bring Rock and Roll to a worldwide audience. Its influence shaped many modern music genres and continues to inspire musicians today.

"Before Elvis there was nothing.” - John Lennon (Beatles)

Rockabilly is one of the earliest forms of Rock and Roll, developing in the United States in the early 1950s. It blends country music, particularly hillbilly music, with rhythm and blues influences. The style is known for its upbeat tempo, twangy guitars, and distinctive slap-back echo on vocals. Artists like Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis were major figures in the Rockabilly movement. Today, Rockabilly remains popular among fans who appreciate its vintage sound and unique fashion culture.

Blues is a music genre that originated within African American communities in the southern United States during the late 19th century. It is known for its emotional expression, often reflecting themes of hardship, love, and resilience. Blues music typically follows a twelve-bar chord progression and features expressive vocals and instrumental solos. Influential musicians such as B.B. King, Muddy Waters, and Robert Johnson helped define the genre. The Blues became the foundation for many later music styles, including Rock and Roll, jazz, and soul.

Country is a genre of music that originated in the rural regions of the southern United States during the early 20th century. It combines folk traditions, storytelling lyrics, and simple yet memorable melodies. Common instruments include acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, and steel guitar. Country songs often focus on everyday life, family, love, and personal experiences. Artists such as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson helped make Country music one of the most popular genres in the world.

Beat music is a genre that developed in the United Kingdom during the late 1950s and early 1960s. It combines elements of Rock and Roll, rhythm and blues, and skiffle music. The style is characterized by strong backbeat rhythms, vocal harmonies, and guitar-driven arrangements. Bands such as The Beatles, The Searchers, and Gerry and the Pacemakers became leading representatives of the Beat movement. Beat music played a major role in the British Invasion and significantly influenced the development of modern pop and rock music.
