2024-ben hetven éves volt a Rock and Roll. A legtöb szakértő a Rock Around The Clock kiadásának idejére teszi a műfaj indulását, persze elfogadva azt, hogy voltak jól felismerhető előfutárai ennek az irányzatnak, mint például a Rocket 88.
Nézzük meg, hogy hogyan terjedt el a Rock and Roll, és hogyan szerepelt a Billboard Top 100-as listáján.

Aki látta már a Vissza a jövőbét, az tudhatja, hogy a Mr. Sandman népszerű volt akkoriban.
Az első igazi meglepetés a hetedik helyen ér, ahol a This Ole House jön szembe velünk. Legtöbben Shakin Stevens-től ismerjük a dalt, nem tudván, hogy 55-ben már country stílusban megírta azt Stuart Hamblen. Ezt a dalt játszák a hazai bandák is, mint például a Black Frogs a 2016-os Lakeside Weekenden.



A 9. Papa Loves Mambo szontén a Vissza a Jövőbé-ből lehet ismerős.
Sajnos a dokumentum nem mutatja, hogy a 12. White Christmas kinek az előadásában került a listára, de a mai napig gyakran hallható dalról van szó.
