Egy teenager végzett a 2021-es Tupleói Elvis fesztivál harmadik helyén

Évek óta rendez Tupelo városa Elvis fesztivált, ahol kisebb, lokális versenyeken sikeresen szereplő Elvis hasonmások mérkőzhetnek meg egymással. A győztes résztvehet a Gracelandi Elvis fesztiválon, Augusztusban.

Az idei fesztivál egyik résztvevője az alig 18 éves texasi Moses Snow volt, aki fiatal kora ellenére sikeresen jutott a döntőbe, ahol a Heartbreak Hotelt adta elő.





A fenti fényképet és videót nézve (Moses balról a második) szinte magunk előtt látjuk a fiatal Elvist, és nem csodálkozunk, hogy miért tiltották be deréktól lefelé a prűd 50-es években. :)
Mosesnek nagyon jól áll a korai elvis figurája, az életkorából adódóan is, megvan benne a kellő csibészség.
Ha így folytatja pár éven belül a Gracelandi verseny résztvevői közt találkozhatunk a nevével, és -ki tudja?- talán meg is nyeri azt.

Második helyen Brook Wright végzet, a Wonder of You-t adta elő.



A versenyt egyébként a 27 éves Alex Mitchell nyerte a Suspicious Minds-al, amihez innen is gratulálunk.

A Rock and Roll-t gyakran az idősebb generációbval azonosítják, de Mosest és Alexet nézve nem kell aggódnunk, a fiatalabbak is felfedezik maguknak az 50-es évek életérzését.

The city of Tupelo is organizing an Elvis Tribute Artist contest since years, where the winners of local Elvis tribute artist contests met and decide who gets int the "big" contest in Graceland in August.

This year there was a 18-years-old participant in the contest, Moses Snow from Texas. Although he is very young he managed to get to the final where he performed the song Heartbreak Hotel.





You can see in the picture and video above (Moses is the 2nd from the left) that he represents well the young Elvis, and it's no wonder why Elvis was banned below the waist in the prudish 50s. :)
If he continues to walk on this way it won't be a surprise when we meet his name among the particiapnts of the Graceland festival in the future.
Maybe he even will win it, who knows?

Brook Wright was the second on the contest, he performed the song Wonder of You.



The winner is Alex Mitchell, 27 years old. His song was the Suspicious Minds, congratulations for him (and for the other participants) as well.

Rock and Roll is often called as music for the old generation, but Moses proves, that we shouldn't worry, the younger generation can and will find the lifestyle of the 50s from themselves.
